Interact Fall Retreat at Truman State University
Mr. Watt and several Putnam County Interact officers and members traveled to Truman State University (TSU) on Thursday, September 20 for the Interact Fall Retreat that was sponsored by the Thousand Hills Rotary Club of Kirksville. They enjoyed an exciting day where they got to meet other Interact students from area schools, TSU Rotaract President Lilly Klahs, and TSU President Dr. Susan L. Thomas, just to name a few. There were presentations about the five Avenues of Service, a buffet lunch, and an exciting keynote speech from Kirksville City Councilman Zac Burden. Mr. Burden gave the Interact students "permission they didn't need" to do great things. He spoke of his love for their generation and belief in them.
