2012-2013 Putnam County Girls Golf

The 2012-2013 Putnam County Girls Golf Team has had a very successful season. The team has placed first at two meets and second at two others. Kailey C. is the lone senior on the team, and has had a very successful first year of golf. Kailey has placed in each meet thus far and shot a personal low of 43 in the Marceline meet 1 stroke behind the first place golfer. Returning golfers Sydney O., Samantha T., Haley B. and Amber M. have also been very successful this season. Sydney has placed in three meets and plays in the very stressful number 1 spot. Samantha T. has really improved and shot a personal low of 48, good enough for second place in the Putnam County meet. Haley  and Amber  round out the returning golfers from last year’s squad. These two girls have really improved their game and have lowered their scores as the season has progressed. As a team the girls shot a team low of 204 in the Putnam County meet. This team is peaking as we prepare for districts and I wish them all the best of luck. These girls work really hard in practice and I am very proud of them. It’s very exciting as a coach to see their faces light up when they shoot a personal best or do something well.

    This year the team also has six Junior Varsity players all of whom are freshmen. These girls consist of : Shayla H., Kyle B., Riley H., Alisyn H., Kia H. and Jordan R.. These girls have shown a lot of improvement throughout the season and I am very proud of them. Shayla  and Kyle have also seen some varsity action as well. These girls make a great nucleus for the next three years. It’s great whenever you go to a golf meet and you have more girls playing than any other school you have faced. LETS GO LADY MIDGETS!!!!!!
