Middle School Character Education-Gratefulness
The community winner for the month of January for the word Gratefulness is Barb Tomlin. Mrs. Tomlin was born in the Chicago area, where she grew up with her two brothers. She graduated from Proviso High school, the same high school as Doc Rivers (coach for LA Clippers) and then moved to Unionville in 2000. That same year she was married and had never lived on a farm with animals. Having to drive 8 miles to the nearest store was quite a shock! She now enjoys the quiet nights and open area that goes with country living. Barb currently teaches special education at Green City. She and her husband Mike, enjoy watching their children, Sydney and Chase, participate in all of their activities, still loves to draw, and is a member of the Putnam County Fair Board.
