First of all, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your patience, flexibility and positivity these last couple of days. Every day we are more and more in a routine and that is thanks to all of our families. We are so thankful for you.
After trying one drop off and pick up time as a building, we are listening to our parent feedback. We understand the complications for families due to long drop off and pick up lines and being stuck in school traffic. We are listening, and ultimately, we want to do what is best for students and their families. Due to feedback we have received we are adjusting our drop off and pick up times. STARTING MONDAY, August 30 we will be returning to staggered start and end times. The schedule will be as follows:
Drop off times
- 7:45-7:55 Red Neighborhood
- 7:55-8:05 Blue Neighborhood
- 8:05-8:15 Green and Orange Neighborhood Pre - K
- 7:45-8:10 Orange Kindergarten
Pick up Times
- 2:45-2:55 Red Neighborhood
- 2:55-3:05 Blue Neighborhood
- 3:05-3:15 Green and Orange Neighborhood Pre-K
- 3:15-3:25 Orange Kindergarten
Drop off and pick up locations and procedures will remain the same. Drop off procedures will remain the same.Pick up will look the same, unless you have more than one student attending Pickwick.
Families who have more than one student attending Pickwick will drop all children off at their child’s earliest neighborhood time. For example: Families with children in both blue and green neighborhoods will drop all children off at the scheduled time for the blue neighborhood. Pickwick staff will supervise children until their scheduled drop off time and then deliver them to their line.
At the end of the day, families with multiple children at PECC will pick up their children at the latest pickup time for their family (opposite from the morning). For families with Kindergarten students, Preschool siblings will be delivered to room 307 and will be supervised by an assigned adult until their sibling is done with specials. At that time, the preschool students will join the Kindergarten students in the Kindergarten pickup line and be escorted to cars by the assigned adults. We will have enough adults to stay in ratio, and these adults will need to follow the protocols for preschool students and confirm the adult is on the pick up list. We ask that adults picking students up have their ID's available upon request.
Please note that the return to staggered start times allows for better traffic flow and increased safety. We ask that families follow the start and end times assigned to them. Also, the back, orange neighborhood, will remain closed until the busses enter at 2:55. The orange cones will be in place until that time. This allows our busses to enter and load students safely.
