Ottumwa Schools will host preschool registration for new families starting in February. Due to COVID-19, the district will not host a traditional registration event. Families can register by calling Pickwick Early Childhood Center at 641-684-7179. The registration process will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
Parents will need to verify their child's age (birth certificate, passport, or Title XIX card) and family income (2020 W2s or tax return). Eligibility is not income-based but is required as part of our collaboration with Sieda Head Start.
Pickwick Early Childhood Center offers a full day preschool program that serves three- and four-year-old children at no cost in a Monday through Thursday program. Before and after school child care services are available at no cost Monday-Thursday. Fee-based child care is available on Fridays.
