The Board of Education approved a 28E agreement with Sieda Head Start to collaborate with the district in providing preschool services at Pickwick Early Childhood Center. The agreement allows both entities to provide high quality preschool programming for three- and four-year-old children in Ottumwa at one location in an integrated environment. Staff for the school will be provided by both Ottumwa Community Schools and Sieda Head Start.
Pickwick Early Childhood Center is currently under construction and is scheduled to open this fall. Parents will be provided a no-cost preschool option for their children. Classes will be held Monday - Thursday and the facility will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, contact the preschool at 641-684-7179 or Sieda Head Start at 641-682-8741.
