The Ottumwa Public Library is excited to announce their participation in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. This is a free program which encourages children to read 1,000 books before they start kindergarten. There are so many reasons to read with your child every day, including early literacy, bonding, and future success in school. Here at the Ottumwa Public Library your child will be given a sheet to record each book (you can repeat!) to turn in for prizes along the way to the 1,000 books!
