Students View Hatching in Classrooms

Preschoolers heard peep peep sounds during their classes in early May.

Preschool teacher, Mrs. Buckingham, brought in 32 eggs in an incubator. By the end of the day on a Monday, there were three eggs hatched. On Tuesday, there were an even dozen. Wednesday afternoon, the total was 19. As of Friday, all eggs had hatched. "The children have enjoyed watching them hatch, eat and drink," said Kelly Young, another preschool teacher. "Everyday they could hardly wait to see if there were more chicks." All classrooms had the opportunity to share in this experience.
