Principal's Message

Greetings Central Elementary School families,

My name is Tameka B. Robinson. It gives me great pleasure to serve as the principal of Central Elementary School. I am humbled and honored to support the students of this community. 

I was born and raised in Northampton County, having attended Woodland Olney, Conway Middle, and Northampton High-East schools.  As an alumna, I am elated to support the students and families of the place I call home.  I am an educator with over twenty years of experience, having served 18 of those years in Northampton County. During my career, I taught math and science in Durham Public Schools and math and social studies in Northampton County Schools. I also served the district as an Interventionist, Math Coach, and Data Coach. I supervised the Northampton Alternative Learning Program and the Gaston STEM pre-kindergarten/kindergarten site. As an administrator, I served at Conway Middle School, Gaston Middle School, Gaston Elementary School, and Northampton Virtual Academy.   

I believe that strong partnerships and two-way communication between the school and the home are essential. I ask that you participate in school events and in your child's learning to foster open communication between home and school.

I look forward to partnering with you in the journey of changing the lives of children.
