This webpage offers many ways our families, friends  and community members can support our students and Central Elementary School, as we strive to provide the best learning opportunities for your children. 

1. Volunteer – if you have a little time, we would love to have you come by to help our teachers and students. Volunteers can read to students, listen to students read, and assist teachers in the classroom. In the Media Center you could help students locate books, shelve books, help with displays, and help with special activities. If gardening is your hobby, you could help beautify our campus. You may have a talent or expert information that our teachers would love for you to share with their classes. During testing times, we always need proctors. For more information or to volunteer, please see our office staff. 
2. Box Tops for Education – collect box tops from specially marked packages of food and household supplies. Send them to school with your student anytime during the year.  
3. Donations – listed below are several ways you can donate items or money to help with school projects or needs.
   1. Donate general classroom or craft supplies. Some items we can always use are: loose-leaf notebook paper, glue sticks, pencils, dry erase markers, colored markers, Ziploc bags in any size, tissues, pipe cleaners, wiggly eyes, craft sticks, construction paper. You can check with your student’s teacher for more specific ideas.
   2. Donate new or gently used books for students to take home, for classroom libraries, or to help us start a book swap program. New hardback books can also be donated to the Media Center for the collection in honor of your student or a special teacher.
   3. Donate Kindles, Nooks or other e-readers you no longer use for our students to use with ebooks at school or at home.
   4. Adopt-a-Classroom- www.adoptaclassroom.org –This website provides a place for teachers to post classroom needs and anyone can donate funds. You can search for our school and donate any amount to any project you choose.
   5. Digital Wish – www.digitalwish.com –This site provides a place for teachers to list technology needs in their classroom and also to apply for technology grants. Anyone can donate to make their wish come true. You can search for our school and donate any amount to any project you choose.
   6. DonorsChoose.org- www.donorschoose.org - an online charity where anyone can give a Tax-deductible donation in any amount to fund classroom project requests from public school teachers. You can search for our school and donate any amount to any project you choose.
