Welcome to Aces! I've been teaching 31 years and this is my 2nd year at Aces.  I'm so happy and proud to be a part of the Aces staff, who are compassionate, dedicated, exceptional educators.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY, my family moved to the northwest when I was young.  Traveling from coast to coast was something I did each year, which opened my eyes to the real world.

In my 30 years of teaching at Mariner High School, I taugnt all ELA courses, and worked as the ELL Coordinator and Newspaper Adviser for 15 years. Following that, I spent 14 years as the Theatre Arts Director, producing over 50 plays and musicals for the community.  Working with thousands of students over the years, I have remained constant in my belief that my role is to lift the voices of young people and give them a platform to express their creativity and talents, whether that be through writing, performance, music, or art.

Although these are challenging times, some of the most important life skills are being taught right now. Like never before, students are learning to advocate for themselves, navigate complex technology, and facilitate their own time management.  I am contintually amazed with the resilience of our youth.
