I joined ACES in fall of 2019 as a Chemistry, Physical Science, & Environmental Science teacher. The biggest appeal was small class sizes where I could get to know my students well. Prior to that, I taught in both Vancouver and Newberg School districts teaching just about any science with class sizes up to 42. At Newberg, I invested a decade in making a strong forensic science program and am thrilled to bring that to ACES. I’m a graduate of Willamette University where I earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. I grew up in Mukilteo, spent about 20 years learning and teaching in Oregon, and am happy to be home. When I’m not at school, I’m spending time with my kids, dog, & cats. I love to “read” audiobooks, buy crazy socks, and have been known to go a little overboard at home decorating for any holiday that one can decorate for.
