Hi, I'm Mrs. Douglas,

 I have been in education for 13 years.  I enjoy working with students in fun and creative ways. I consider myself a 'forever student', eager to build on my academic foundation in education and intune with the latest teaching strategies through continued coursework and professional development.

It is my desire to provide students with real world experiences and opportunites to learn. The following is a broad list of activities students will participate in:

Career exploration
Job skills training
Service learning opportunities 
Vocational skills taught across multiple settings by job coaches 
Executive functioning skills (e.g., organizing, prioritizing, time management, regulating emotions)
Social and communication skills development 
Independent living skills
Personal financial management

 One of the students favorite job is working at Common Grounds our in house coffee shop. Students have the opportunity to work on social skill, job skill such as delivery and inventory. In addition, they work on financial skills while keeping track of income and expenses.
