Our New Wellness Center
Ms. Erin Howard heads up our new Wellness Center as our Wellness Specialist. The Wellness Center offers a central space on campus for students to get connected to support by referring themselves or a friend, and it provides opportunities to talk to a trusted adult. In the Wellness Center, students can practice coping skills, learn about different emotional regulation and self care tools, and access medically accurate health and wellness information. The space itself is set up with different areas to meet different student needs.
The Wellness Center will be supported by Erin, our MVMS Counseling Department, School Psychologists, and the District’s Student Services Department. In addition, there will be a Wellness Center student group: the MVMS Wellness Youth Council, who will help advise our work and educate their peers about important health and wellness topics and resources. Please drop by before or after school to visit this space, and for more information, click on this link.
