    The MVMS PTSA funds many programs and services, including All-School Read books and author visits to the MVMS Library, teacher stipends for extra-curricular programs, teacher/classroom mini-grants, equipment for sports teams, social/emotional programs, digital citizenship programing, the yearbook, journalism, homework club, the WEB ("Where Everybody Belongs") program, health education, parent education, mentoring programs, teacher appreciation, emergency preparedness, and so much more. The PTSA also publishes the Panther Press once a month, through ParentSquare.
     
    The PTSA also coordinates and staffs events & programs, including Photo Day, MVMS fundraising events, parent socials, Panther Café volunteers, Lost & Found, emergency preparedness, 6th, 7th and 8th Grade dances, "Community First" service programs, birthday books, the art show, the book fair, communications, and 8th Grade Graduation...to name a few. 
     
    The PTSA meets monthly, usually - but not always - on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
    Changes to meeting dates will be announced one month in advance.
    All MVMS parents and guardians are welcome, and encouraged, to attend PTSA meetings.
     
    PTSA Meeting Dates for the 2023-24 school year are as follows and will be announced prior to each meeting: 
    September 21, 2023; October 19, 2023; November 16, 2023; December 21, 2023; January 18, 2024;
    February 15, 2024; March 21, 2024; April 18, 2024; May 16, 2024
     
    Meetings are held in the conference room across from the library and/or via Zoom and start at 10am unless otherwise noted.
    Zoom links for meetings will be posted through ParentSquare on the morning of the meeting.

    Community First Service Program
    MVMS's Community First program is designed to provide students and families with school-based volunteer opportunities, and also encourages and supports student service in the greater community.
