The Industry 4.0 Diploma Distinction is an accolade added to a qualifying student's high school transcript and diploma. This distinction (outlined in Tenn. Code Ann. § 49-6-420) enhances a path for students to pursue careers in high-need, high-skill industries after graduation.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?
At least nine (9) dual enrollment or work-based learning (WBL) credits aligned with students' career goals during their junior and senior years of high school.
Receive monthly career coaching and counseling to better prepare students for their transition to the workforce.
Students will have the option to substitute a WBL or dual enrollment course, as approved by the State Board of Education, for one math credit and one science credit.
