A Word from Mrs. White, Title I Facilitator

This school year is coming to an end, and we are so proud of our Wildcats and how much they have grown and learned this year. We are working to finish up end of year testing, so it is still very important that your children are here every day, well- rested and well-fed, in order to do their best on these assessments. The Title I department appreciates all of your help and support this year as we have navigated what it means to be a Title school. As we make plans for the 24-25 school year, please let us know how we can help your families with any needs you may have. The Woodard Family wishes you a safe and relaxing summer!

A Message from Mr. K

Our 25 second Language Cohort students have completed their annual WIDA Language Support, and we will have results on May 8; the data will tell parents, students and teachers two data points: 1. Which students showed Mastery and will be T1 students in the 2024-25 school year. This will mean that they will be scheduled as regular mono-lingual students and Mr. K will just monitor their work and progress monthly. 2. Which students showed growth and will be schedule for daily ELL classes with Mr. K.

Our 2023-24 had one of the hardest working Woodard Cohort, and Mr. K’s projections are for significant growth.

District will have a district-wide support event at CHS on May 2, 2024 from 4-6 with lots of entertainment and support information resources.

Mr. K’s students are already set up for skills mastery on their www.essentialskills supplementary software working to challenge their academic skills for their next school year.
