      High School Seniors - Apply for TN Promise Now | Volunteer State Community  College
       
      Application Deadline November 1

      FAFSA- Complete by April 15, 2024 at FAFSA.GOV
       
      Apply to Community College or TCAT- Spring 2024
       
      Complete and submit proof of 8 hours of Community Service- by July 1, 2024




      UT Promise
       
      UT Promise is an undergraduate scholarship program that covers tuition and mandatory fees for qualifying TN residents attending UTK, UTC, UT Martin, UT Memphis, & UT Southern.

      Tennessee HOPE Scholarship awards about $4,000 each year of college to a Tennessee public university.-Must graduate with 3.0+ GPA or a 21+ ACT.-Must complete FAFSA to apply.

      Merit-Based College Scholarships  Begin your scholarship search with the colleges you want to attend by visiting their scholarships and financial aid web pages.  Many schools offer merit-based scholarships based on GPA/ACT combinations.Institution Department Scholarships:  Once you apply to a certain college, many have department-based scholarships and other scholarships unique to the college or university.  Be sure to reach out to your admissions counselor about how to apply for these scholarships.

      Scholarship Search Engines-  There are many.  Be careful not to apply to Survey and No Essay or Quick type scholarships as the majority of these are collecting your information and are not legitimate.  These can be found on just about every search engine for scholarships.
