Mr. Martin wears many hats as the SEL Coordinator for Horace O. Porter, the Juvenile Detention Center of Maury County, and as a Mentor to the students at Northfield Academy. He focuses on assisting students to recognize strengths in themselves. As a group, Mr. Martin guides them in learning how to demonstrate an ability to experience genuine empathy and compassion for others. Showing authentic concern for the feelings of others and learning to understand ways of productively expressing gratitude are goals that all students are striving to achieve each day.
