Welcome to Highland Lakes Elementary! I am so eager to be the Math Specialist for the 9th year at Highland Lakes Elementary! My role as math specialist is to increase the awareness and value of mathematics for students, teachers, parents and the community.  I work with students in small groups and serve as a resource for teachers to increase understanding of how children learn mathematics. My role also includes monitoring student progress throughout the year. I share and analyze data with teachers and administrators to improve instruction in meeting the needs of all students. Our campus is a No Excuses University campus that promotes college readiness and my class is representing Duke University this year! I look forward to an amazing year and developing a passion for Mathematics in our students! ♥
