We suggest that you think about your child’s interests and look accordingly (e.g., universities, community colleges, city government, museums, libraries, theater groups, art galleries, parent magazines, news media) to find out about online camp offerings.

Inclusion does not mean a recommendation or endorsement by KAGE, but is offered only as a service to families and educators of gifted children. It is not to be considered an exhaustive list.

    TRASHFORMATION: A TRASH-TO-TREASURE ART CONTEST

    Party_for_the_Planet

The Louisville Zoo and the LG&E and KU Foundation invite students in preschool through 12th grade to participate in our ninth annual recycled art contest as part of Party for the Planet: A Month-Long Celebration of the Earth powered by the LG&E and KU Foundation. This unique event encourages students to communicate the importance of recycling and sustainability through art. We are once again partnering with the Louisville Orchestra’s MakingMUSIC Landfill Orchestra program. We encourage students to create a musical instrument out of recycled materials. The Louisville Orchestra has some ideas for musical instruments on their website at LouisvilleOrchestra.org/landfill-orchestra.

You must register online at LouisvilleZoo.org/trashformation/registration by February 22, 2021 to participate.

Your entry must be submitted online at LouisvilleZoo.org/Trashformation-submission by March 27, 2021.
