California enacted legislation (Assembly Bill 469) requiring
Districts to confirm that all high school seniors have completed a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or a California Dream Act Application (CADAA) to increase access to financial aid and expand access to thousands of students who may have otherwise not been aware of this opportunity. We strongly believe it is crucial to inform students and families about the importance of filling out the FAFSA or CADAA as soon as possible but no later than the CA State deadline of March 2.

Students applying to private schools should check the scholarship and financial aid requirements to see if they need to complete the CSS Profile in addition to the FAFSA.

ALL students should also check the weekly e-bulletin, Fastweb (https://www.fastweb.com/), or other scholarship sites for scholarship opportunities and apply when appropriate.

Check out the CVHS Daily Bulletin for current scholarship opportunities. Information is posted as received. Watch deadlines for applications. The CVHS Community based scholarship application is available in January.
