Absence
When students are absent from school, please notify the school by calling the Attendance Office at (818) 248-6052 and state the student's name, student ID#, the date of the absence, and the reason for the absence. Your message will be recorded. This is a 24-hour service. A parent or legal guardian must verify an absence.
Health Office Policies
All students must have a completed Health Card. Every student must have received a TDaP (Pertussis) vaccination and two Varicella doses prior to the first day of school. Documentation is required. If a student is injured either in school or elsewhere and needs to wear a medical device such as crutches, braces, casts, ACE bandages, etc., a doctor's note needs to be submitted to the Health Office prior to the student returning to school.
No pupil shall be given medication during school hours except upon written request from the parent or guardian of the pupil and a licensed physician who has the responsibility for the medical management of the pupil (Education Code Section 49423). The medication is
not to be kept by the student. Special circumstances have to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the school administrator and school nurse. "Request For Medication To Be Taken During School Hours" form

Emergency Contact Information
It is very important that parents/guardians keep all contact information (home and cell phone numbers) up-to-date in our student information system. Information can be updated using the Parent Portal. In case of student illness or emergency, we will call both home and cell numbers. Login to your Parent Portal to make necessary changes. If you are unable to access the Parent Portal, please contact the Rosemont Counseling Office.
Please make sure the emergency contacts on file for your student are up-to-date. It is helpful if your emergency contact(s) are local so that they can respond quickly to pick up your student, if necessary.
