Mrs. Cristina Mazza
My name is Cristina Mazza and I’m your child’s homeroom teacher, if you are the parent in the 5th/6th Italian class, or your child's math teacher if your child is either in the 4th Grade French, German or Italian.
If you have doubt about how to pronounce my last name just think of “Pizza” for the double zz sound! I go by Maestra Mazza or Mrs. Mazza, whichever you prefer. I’m Italian and I have spent my childhood and early youth in Milan, Italy.
I left my country to live in Germany in 2009, immediately following my Master’s graduation in Biophysics. I spent two years in Munich, where I learned how to speak German and I taught Italian to children and adults. Moving to the US, I saw the opportunity to become the teacher I wanted to be and I decided to go back to school and get my Teaching Credentials. Now, I'm happy to share this exciting adventure with your student! Math and science are my passion and I’m very excited to be your child’s teacher.
