Mission Statement

The EHHS Writing Center is a space where students, teachers,  and tutors collaborate on writing projects. Student writers should arrive at their scheduled appointment with a draft of a planner/brainstorm or a draft of assignment as well as a copy of the current assignment (and rubric) ready to engage with their own work while writing center staff ask questions, listen actively, respond to individual needs, and foster strategic revision. The center prioritizes long-term growth and aims to expand each writer’s capacity to make intentional and reflective choices. The EHHS Writing Center works on both a drop and push in basis. It provides targeted support for specific writing needs identified on a case by case basis between the student and the writing center staff.
