Michelle Rennie’s Webster Elementary kindergarten classroom enjoyed coming back to a few new project materials following winter break.
The items were funded by contributions through the Donors Choose website. Educators can post a project funding request on the website and interested donors can provide as little as $1 to help pay for it. When the funding goal is met, Donors Choose procures the items and sends them to the classroom.
The new things for Mrs. Rennie’s class included a supply caddy to store and organize reading station materials, as well as materials for math and reading stations and small group instruction time.
“This school year my class has had eight Donors Choose projects funded – totaling $2,569 of materials and supplies for the children in my classroom,” said a very grateful Mrs. Rennie.
