Help a Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 school win up to $5,000 in the “Explore My Community” School Video Contest sponsored by the Get to Know M.E. campaign.
This year’s theme asks schools to help everyone get to know their communities better. Webster Elementary, Collinsville Middle School and Collinsville High School all submitted entries.
Get to Know m.e., also known as Get to Know the Metro-East, is “a regional image campaign launched to help everyone in the Metro-East get to know their communities better, embracing the people who live and work here while enjoying the many attractions that we all share and enjoy. To support this campaign, various businesses have teamed together to organize and fund a comprehensive, positive-image marketing campaign for the Metro-East and fund visible projects to help make our community even stronger.”
According to the group’s website, “The video is a creative way for schools to show how much school spirit they have and why their community is the best. [Schools are asked to] submit a video that highlights the wonderful features in your community.”
Winners will be chosen based on online voting — $1,000, $2,000 and $5,000 grand prizes will be awarded.
Voting is underway and continues until November 16 at 5:00 p.m central time. According to contest rules, votes can be placed once per day. Tell everyone you know and vote often to show support for Collinsville and our schools!
