September 29, 2021 – The 2021 C3 (Collinsville Community Collaboration) award recipients have been announced. A well-known Collinsville High School educator and two seniors have been selected to receive awards at the annual C3 Awards Night on November 10, 2021 at Gateway Center.
CHS Social Students teacher Mark Schusky will receive the Stan Schaffer Education Community Leadership Award for 2021. Schusky is being recognized for his many contributions to CUSD 10, the Collinsville Library Board and local historic preservation.
Sean-Jeramie Brown is president of the CHS Black Student Union. She works collaboratively with other student groups to promote understanding and appreciation of various cultures represented at the school. She spends time serving the community and making CHS a more welcoming place.
Megan Houberg is a past-president and active member of Key Club at Collinsville High School, as well as a two-year officer of Multicultural Kahoks. She currently serves as Lieutenant Governor on the Key Club State Board. She has spent countless hours on community service projects and spearheaded Women’s History Month activities at CHS in early 2021. Her charity work with Key Club has made a difference in the Collinsville community and has earned recognition among all Illinois-Eastern Iowa Key Clubs.

The pre-dinner reception begins at 5:30 pm, followed by dinner, awards presentation and music. Tickets are $35 each and can be purchased using THIS LINK.
