Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
With the first days of school behind us, teachers and kids around the district are off to a great start. District administration and school staff appreciate your patience and support as the year gets underway.
I want to make you aware of a few things that can help you access information and stay on top of news from the district.
The district’s website www.kahoks.org is the one-stop-shop to help you navigate district requirements, procedures and policies. Starting this school year, it is also where you will find webpages devoted to each of the CUSD 10 schools.
The school webpages have news and information for each particular school. We suggest you bookmark these pages for quick access.
The Collinsville High School and Collinsville Middle School pages are still being completed. New information is uploaded every day. If you cannot find what you are looking for, please contact the school office. You are also invited to provide feedback using the survey links found on each page.
Make use of these important features on the district website:
- Events Calendar
https://www.kahoks.org/event-calendar/
The Events Calendar lists both district-wide and school-specific events. Also, check Fundraising calendar throughout the year to see dates for fundraising events/efforts around the district. - Virtual Backpack
https://www.kahoks.org/virtual-backpack/
The Virtual Backpack has electronic versions of district and community fliers for events, camps and special offers. Check it frequently – like you would your child’s actual backpack. - Staff Directory/Contact Information
https://www.kahoks.org/contact-us/staff-directory/
Please do not hesitate to contact anyone on the CUSD 10 team. School contact information is found on each school webpage. Most questions can be answered by contacting your child’s school by phone or email.
I also want to remind parents/guardians of the Spectator Guidelines for all students attending athletic events at Kahok Stadium. Click here to review the policy.
Remember, weather-related school closing information and other important announcements are always posted on www.kahoks.org, as well as the district’s social media: Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 on Facebook and @CUSD10 on Twitter.
I look forward to all the outstanding things that will be accomplished this school year. You are focused on your child’s success – and so are we. Working together, we can ensure 2018-19 will be a year of growing, thriving and learning.
Sincerely,
Dr. Robert Green
Superintendent
