For the future, Hayman says, “We need to identify and recruit more girls and more 7th graders to train, condition, and help discover their inner greatness.”

Coach Hayman is already preparing for next year:
“On the bus ride home, we are already planning for next year and our success will depend on how many future track and field athletes participate in next year’s Cross Country season. There is no other sport that conditions the bodies as well as the minds of young athletes. Endurance, self discipline, determination, and sheer grit is what all athletes should expect to learn from a season in Cross Country.
“August 19th is the first practice and I encourage all parents to encourage their sons and daughters to begin that journey next year.”
