The Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 Board of Education honored six students during the Monday, October 21, 2019 regular monthly meeting.
Collinsville High School Principal David Snider presented special Certificates of Achievement to students who excelled at the recent Technology Day competition at Illinois State University: Jacob McChristian and James Metcalf took 3rd place in VEX Robotics; Kendall Tune and Jenna Feldmann took 1st place in Engineering Design. They were joined by CHS STEM Club Sponsor Patricia Szpila.
Collinsville Middle School Principal Dr. Kimberly Jackson was joined by CMS STEM Teacher Matt Blunt to present certificates to middle school students who took top honors at ISU Technology Day: Ryland Tanner and Livia Montgomery took first place in Invention and Innovation.
The students briefly described their top ranking projects.
On behalf of the school board, Board President Gary Peccola and Superintendent Dr. Brad Skertich congratulated the students on their achievements.
