Roe, a junior midfielder and forward for the Collinsville Kahoks, considers versatility one of her greatest assets.
Depending on the game situation, Kahoks coach Clay Smith employs Roe as a dangerous front-runner with a deadly accurate kick or as a midfielder who controls the pace of play.
Smith probably wouldn’t be surprised to hear about Roe’s willingness to help out in another area.
“I can play anywhere on the field,” said Roe, 17. “If we’re winning and he needs me on his defense, I’ll do that, too.”
Smith isn’t likely to consider that possibility, given Roe’s productivity in the offensive third of the field…
