Renfro Elementary 3rd grader Olivia Grinston is being honored with a Youth Entrepreneur Award on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at the 4th Annual B.L.A.C.K. T.I.E. Community Awards in St. Louis.
The B.L.A.C.K. T.I.E. Charity Dinner is organized by Made Moguls, a non-profit organization providing mentoring & entrepreneurship programs to students ages 11-17 in the Greater St. Louis area.
The mission of Made Moguls is “to provide a unique and engaging experience for students that allows them to gain valuable hands-on experience in entrepreneurship while building character and developing valuable transferable life skills.”
Olivia is the proprietor of Joyful Jewels Boutique which she developed to “inspire young girls around the world to be their best selves and to never let anyone steal their joy.”
Alma Grinston, Olivia’s mother said, “I am proud to share that Olivia will be one of the award recipients of the 2018 Black Tie Community Awards. Olivia has been busy…from hosting youth events to vending her apparel and accessorizes store at local events and now in the processing of doing a book collaboration project with other youth entrepreneurs around the globe. We are so proud of Olivia.”
Mrs. Grinston is also appreciative of the support Olivia gets from her teacher, Laura Locandro, “Thanks Ms. Locandro for being an amazing teacher, your patience , kindness and dedication to fostering next generation leaders does not go unnoticed.”
