Collinsville High School 2018 Summer School enrollment opens Monday, March 12, 2018 at 9:00 a.m.
Summer school at Collinsville High School serves two purposes – to offer students an opportunity to take classes required for graduation freeing up space in their schedule so they may take other classes of interest, and to help students get back on track in terms of earned credits and achievement. If your student wants to take a class to get ahead (cannot take math or English) or if your student failed a class during the school year, summer school is a great way to get caught up.
CHS summer classes begin on June 4 and end on July 3. Classes are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Daily attendance is critical due to the condensed format of our program, which means that students may miss only two (2) days.
Students may take up to two classes (.5 credit each). The registration fee for each class is $100.00.
Please be advised that we do not offer bus transportation during summer school, but students may park on campus at no cost. Students attending a full day (both sessions) will also need to bring their lunch.
Students who continue learning during the summer are better prepared for the next school year and are less likely to lose knowledge gained during the previous school year. We encourage you to talk with your son/daughter about the opportunity to complete required classes and earn up to 1 full credit this summer.
