Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) will host an event about planning and paying for college next Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. in the Collinsville High School auditorium.
High school families will get needed advice on financial aid, however, all families of students K-12 are invited to learn more about saving and paying for education beyond high school.
CHS Counselor Carla Elliff is coordinating the event with Rep. Katie Stuart’s office and ISAC. The goal is to make parents aware of resources available to them to help pay for college or vocational training.
Elliff says, “We want to get the word out to CMS, DIS and elementary school families that the presentation will include information about college savings plans and more. It is never too early to start planning for college or other post-high school education.”
