Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 will unveil our new STREAM room during an Open House for parents and the community on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Webster Elementary School, 108 W. Church Street.
STREAM education involves science, technology, reading, engineering, arts and math. The STREAM room is filled with hands-on learning materials for elementary students.
The STREAM room is located at Webster Elementary, but beginning January 2019, classroom teachers from throughout the district will have the opportunity to bring their classes to the room for a field trip or to use distance learning technology for virtual lessons.
In addition, “Family Nights” during the year will provide opportunities for students and their families to learn STREAM topics together. Watch for more information.
“This room is funded by our Title I Grant,” says CUSD 10 Title 1 Director Sarah Gray, “We are excited to open the doors for children to have an exciting STREAM learning opportunity!”
Note: If you plan to attend the Open House on November 28, please park in the lot in the back of the school off South Clinton Street. You will see the bright green STREAM sign and you can enter through those doors to get to the STREAM Room.
