Maryville’s new pedal classroom
Maryville Elementary’s new “pedal classroom” was featured on KMOV Channel 4 in St. Louis.
Principal Carmen Loemker said the newly completed room is used on a rotating basis by the classes in the school. Designated a “tech free” zone, the pedal classroom is utilized for traditionally quiet activities like individual reading and listening to teachers lecture and read.
Teacher Sarah Weiss said her students love the chance for some indoor activity — especially on inside recess days.
