Collinsville’s latest Little Free Library was unveiled at the CUSD 10 Administration Building, 201 W. Clay Street.
Transitional Kindergarten students from The Learning Tree Preschool traveled down the street for the special ribbon cutting. Shortly after the official opening, several current and future Jefferson Elementary students were the Little Library’s first visitors.
Everyone was invited into the Unit 10 Administration office for refreshments.
The Collinsville School District’s Little Library program is administered by the Title 1 office. Artwork for the Administration Building Little Library was created by Llynne Huntley, computer support specialist at Webster Elementary School.
The Little Free Library concept operates with the “Take a Book. Leave a Book” philosophy. Children in the community can take books from the Little Free Library, as well as donate books from their own library. Book sharing promotes reading
