Hey Kahoks! Did you notice the post-it note on your desk with inspirational quotes? This is to kick off Bully Prevention Week sponsored by Kahoks United. Kahoks United will be set up in the cafeteria with different activities all week. Today’s activity is The Wheel. You spin the wheel and do the actions on the wheel and you’ll win prizes. So look for us we hope to see you there! Fact: Did you know 1 out of 4 kids are bullied. Kahoks United wants each of our students to feel welcomed and valued at CHS. Help us by preventing bullying at our school.

To continue with Bully Prevention Week, Kahoks United will be in the cafeteria everyday with an activity. Today’s activity is The Helping Chain. You will write something about that you can do to prevent bullying and link it to the chain. We hope to see you there! Fact: The most common types of bullying are verbal and cyber. THINK before you speak/post. Is it what you have to say True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and Kind? If it doesn’t fit one of those categories, it does not need to be said.

To continue with Bully Prevention Week, Kahoks United will be in the cafeteria everyday with an activity. Today’s activity is the Unity Tree.To pledge not to bully you will take a letter from the Kahoks United table and write your name and it will be turned into a tree. We hope to see you there! Fact: Students are less likely to report the bullying as get older. There are many ways to report bullying and you are not “snitching” if you do. The P3 app lets you report anonymously so a person can report without it being traced back to you.

If you participated in Bully Prevention Week, Kahoks United would like to thank everyone for blocking out bullying and keeping Kahoks United. To bring Bully Prevention Week to a close, let’s picture CHS without bullying. Today during your lunch hours, come to the Kahoks United booth to take a picture in our photo booth. Fact: People who see bullying get involved 20% of the time. Let’s do better than that at CHS. If you see someone being mistreated, stand up and speak out.
