Collinsville High School student-athletes Katie Fenton and Bria King recently signed 2019 National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Southwestern Illinois College.
Their families, current coach Lori Billy and future coach Demetrius Zambrencia joined them for the signing ceremony.
Girls Basketball Coach Lori Billy said:
We are so proud of both Katie and Bria for all of their hard work and dedication to our basketball program. They have spent the last 4 years learning and growing and becoming players that contribute on and off the court. Today, all of that hard work has paid off. Both girls signed with SWIC and will continue their basketball career together as they have done since 5th grade.”
Bria’s quickness and ability to read passing lanes as well as her ability to get down the court and finish, will be a huge asset for her in the future.
Katie’s toughness inside and ability to battle, as well as her strong understanding of the game will help to make her a key player as well.
It has been my honor to coach these girls and I’m so proud of all that they have accomplished. Even though they will be wearing blue and white next year, we know they will always bleed purple!
