Kahoks had great success at the recent International HOSA-Future Health Professionals 2018 Leadership Conference & Competition in Dallas.
Nicholas Shepherd, Jaeden Sizemore, Morgan Myers, Jaylen Jordan and MacKenzie O’Bear represented Collinsville and Illinois at the annual competition.
“The last week in June, our 5 students competed against the nation’s brightest students interested in medicine,” reports HOSA Sponsor and Clinical Health Occupations Instructor Sherry Modeer.
“Two of our students made it to the final round and are ranked in the top 25 in the nation in their event, Forensic Medicine! Another is ranked in the top 40 for Pharmacology. We are still awaiting the final ranking on the remaining two. There were 8,200 competing — we’ll take it!” said a very proud Modeer.
