The success of the Collinsville girls soccer team last spring is paying off in a big way for some of the returning players on this year’s squad.
On Feb. 6, five Collinsville seniors signed letters of intent to play college soccer: Alyssa Reiniger (McKendree University), Kassidy Rawdon (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville), Alexis Arnold (Maryville University), Brooke Blasingame (Missouri State University) and Kat Roe (Lindenwood University).
“It’s very exciting for our program and our school as a whole,” Collinsville coach Clay Smith said. “In our athletic department, we can’t think of the last time we’ve had five individuals from the same sport all sign on signing day at Division II or higher.
