Dorris Intermediate STEM Students Attend Junior Olympiad

A team of Dorris Intermediate School STEM students competed in the Madison County Regional Office of Education  Junior Olympiad on March 7,2018 at Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville.

Sixth grade teacher Chris Comrie said, “The event is comprised of a variety of tasks in which students have to use their problem solving skills. This year, tasks ranged from “paper & pencil’ riddle-type worksheets, to building a support made out off paper, to fabricating a manila folder that could support the weight of a student.”
