During a routine morning physical education class, Dorris Intermediate School PE Teacher Brian Baca was surprised with a presentation naming him Collinsville Community Unit School District #10 Staff Member of the Month for April 2019.
DIS Principal Kevin Stirnaman said, “Mr. Baca works very hard to provide extracurricular programs for the kids. He is the organizer of our T-Bird basketball program for both boys and girls, the 5th and 6th grade Dodgeball Tournament, the Runner’s Club for boys and our school-wide Field Day.”
“He easily forms relationships with students and helps out with duty before and after school. He’s a team player and a student-first educator,” added Stirnaman.
