March 7-13, 2021 is National School Social Work Week as designated by the School Social Work Association of America (SSWAA). Celebrated annually during the second week of March, SSWAA says it’s a time to recognize the “vital role that [school social workers] provide to students, administrators, teachers, educators, parents and the community.”
“Beacon of Hope: School Social Workers – Lighting the Way” is our theme for School Social Work Week 2021. In our role, School Social Workers are able to light the way, emphasizing the whole child, collaborating with other professionals, linking students and families with needed services, and advocating for our profession.” according to the organization.
