Collinsville summer food program picks up where free school lunch

For the more than 3,650 students in the Collinsville School District who receive free or reduced-price meals when school is in session, hunger doesn’t take a summer vacation.

That’s why a coalition of Collinsville churches and nonprofit groups has organized a new program to ensure that those children will continue to have access to nutritional meals while school is out this summer.
