The Empty Bowl was held last week in Collinsville as part of a national campaign to combat hunger. Attendees who went to the Knights of Columbus Hall Wednesday, and paid for a $10 ticket received a bowl of soup, bread and water. All the proceeds went to the Helping Hands Ministry Food Pantry. After lunch, the diners were given a small bowl, handmade by Collinsville High School art students, local Scouts troops and the club members themselves.
