Thank you to the Gene Haas Foundation for a $10,000 grant to assist with the Collinsville Area Vocational Center’s Precision Machining program.
Dean Koskolos, a representative of Haas Factory Outlet in St. Louis — a division of NYMAT Machine Tool Corp — presented the check to Dr. Tricia Blackard, CAVC director and Collinsville High School Principal David Snider on Monday, August 7, 2017.
Haas Automation is the largest machine tool builder in the western world. Their state of the art equipment is manufactured in Oxnard, CA. Haas machine tools and rotary products are used by demanding professionals. Through their education outreach, Haas equipment is made affordable to schools along with simulation programs to train students. CAVC students utilize Haas machines as part of their in-class shop training.
