December 2022 – The Collinsville High School Visual Arts department recently participated in the 10th Annual Southwest Conference Exhibit at Edwardsville High School. After the juror points were counted, CHS won 3rd place out of 8 schools for the craftsmanship and quality of the artwork submitted.
“The show is currently being displayed in the DeToye Student Gallery which is attached to Edwardsville High School. This exhibit was designed to highlight the outstanding work visual arts students are doing throughout the Southwest Conference region, and also provides an opportunity for students to gain valuable experience exhibiting in a real art gallery,” said CHS Fine Arts Department Chair Rosemary Koester.
The exhibition runs through January 6, 2022.
Students whose work is being displayed are: Mikayla Atwood, Leona Hunke, Thailia Mills, Maria Robles, and Morgan Voelkel.
