Collinsville High School Latin teacher James Stark reports CHS has a record number of placements on the 2019 National Latin Exam.
“The results are in for the 2019 National Latin Exam and we have more placements than ever! A total of 14 Latin students placed on the exam – roughly 1 in 6 current Latin students here at CHS,” says Stark.

“For our end-of-year Roman Banquet, I recently tallied up our state/national awards,” says Stark, “I can proudly say that between the National Latin Exam, Seal of Biliteracy, and Illinois Junior Classical League-North and South Conventions, nearly half of the CHS Latin students received awards at the state or national level this year – and many of them, as always, received multiple awards.”
